Personal information and Information sharing
When you visit or access the Projectplace service we automatically recognize your IP address, domain, device information, date and time of the interaction and language preferences. This information is not used to personally identify you. We use your IP address to help diagnose possible problems with our server farm and Internet connection. We do not sell or market this information to any third party. We do however, on occasion, aggregate this information internally and analyze it to help improve the performance of our service.
During the registration/sign-up process, you provide us with personally identifiable information such as name, email address, etc. This information is used primarily to identify you in our service, which is necessary for the login process. The individual user account is based on e-mail addresses. We do not share this information with anyone except to other companies within the Planview group (companies owned by Planview Inc.), nor do we sell or market this information to any third party. Planview also reserves the right to use the registered information for CRM, sales and marketing activities unless the user has chosen to opt-out; see the Emails and other communications section below.
Once you are logged in to the service you may enter personal information in your preferences, such as name, title, company or organization, postal address, and phone numbers, etc. This information is only shared with the people you choose to share it with within a project and is visible to us on your user account. We do not share this information with anyone, nor do we sell or market this information to any third party.
In the purchase process, you or the Customer provide us with personally identifiable information such as name, email address, postal address and phone number, etc. This information is used primarily for billing purposes, and to contact you in the case that a problem should occur with your account. This information is shared in discretion and under nondisclosure agreements with our billing partners, which is necessary since we have chosen to outsource invoicing, collection of receivables and credit card payments to partners. We do not market or sell this information to any third party and the partners of Planview will under no circumstances contact the users registered in our system for their own purposes. The information is collected and owned by Planview only.
It is clearly indicated on our web sites and in Projectplace if information is optional or mandatory. By registering optional information, the user may benefit e.g. by receiving additional user guidelines and manuals via email, or faster support reply via telephone or mobile phone. To the extent Information is associated with an identified or identifiable natural person and is protected as personal data under applicable data protection law, it is referred to in this Privacy Policy as “Personal Data.”
When a user adds, updates or removes information in a Customer’s Account, Projectplace will store information about what action was performed, who performed the action (in the form of that user’s First and Last Name) and when the action was performed. This information is part of the Customer Data and is used to e.g. lookup and analyze event history and perform audits by the Customer or by another party upon the Customer’s request.
International Data Transfers
Your Personal Data may be stored and processed in any country where we have facilities or in which we engage service providers, and by using Projectplace you consent to the transfer of information to countries outside of your country of residence, including countries within EU, the UK and the United States, which may have different data protection rules than those of your country.
Planview complies with the Privacy Shield Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information transferred from EU member countries to companies in the United States. Planview has certified that it adheres to the Privacy Shield Principles of notice, choice, onward transfer, security, data integrity, access, recourse, enforcement and liability. Third Party Integrations
Planview may access, use, and store data related to third-party integrations, such as Google Drive, but Planview does not share that data with third-party agents or partners of Planview. If users do not want Planview to access, use, or store data related to third-party applications, users must not initiate connections to those applications from within Projectplace.
Google Drive Integration
Refer to the following for information about how Google information is managed within Projectplace:
- Projectplace stores user's authenticated tokens so that the user doesn’t have to log in to Google every time they want to attach a Google document to their Projectplace card or other Projectplace artifact.
- Google credentials are not stored in Projectplace. When a user’s Google token expire, the user must authenticate with Google again. Token data is deleted when a Projectplace user account is deleted.
- Projectplace stores a link to a shared Google document.
- Projectplace leverages the Google API to enable other users, with rights to view the artifact, to view linked Google documents via a shared URL.
- Projectplace does not store Google Drive document names or document lists.
